The tool you’ve just purchased was built by hard-working Americans at our family-owned business in Ashland, Oregon. We have built premium sharpening tools right here in the USA for more than 30 years.
Founded in Chicago in 1973, our company is built on the core values of honesty, integrity, respect and enjoying what we do. From those humble beginnings, we have grown, proudly continuing a tradition of American innovation. Starting with our first sharpener, the Darex M1, our entire product line has been designed, engineered, and tested to the highest standards. We now employ about 65 people and have sold more than 3 million tools, but the basic values we started with remain vibrantly alive at the forefront of our business decisions.
Changes in the global economy have forced us to buy some parts off shore, but we remain committed to designing, assembling and quality-checking our products right here in Ashland, Oregon, with our American workforce. We could deliver cheaper products to you, but then we couldn’t deliver the value and service you – and we – have come to expect.
You get what you pay for and when you purchase our tools you will have purchased premium tools that will last. If you call us for customer service, you will speak to someone at our manufacturing facility who knows our products and is committed to ensuring your satisfaction. Since its introduction in 1997, the Drill Doctor® line has sold more than three million units. All major U.S. hardware retailers, as well as distributors in some 25 nations abroad, carry the Drill Doctor® brand.

We'll let you in on a little secret: Ashland, Oregon is a great place to live and work. Ashland is a small town of great diversity, only 20 minutes from the California border, but it's a world apart from everywhere else. Ashland is nestled in the Siskiyou Mountains and has a state university, a major theatre company, art galleries, a museum and fine restaurants. Mt. Ashland, only minutes away, offers excellent skiing and recreation. The nearby Rogue River features whitewater rafting, kayaking and hiking trails. Now imagine the people. DRILL DOCTOR MODEL 750X
The DD750X shop model is designed for durability and has the flexibility required to sharpen the largest range of dull or broken bits-including split points and masonry bits. The DD750X also adds increased capacity, sharpening 3/32” to 3/4” bits.
The precision and accuracy of the DD750X makes this our top of the line model.
- One chuck sharpens all sizes 3/32" -3/4".
- Longer jaws hold bit more precisely and jaw guides eliminate jaw twisting on small bits.
- New “Push to Stop” design on the drill point splitting port will not allow you to over split the bit point.
- Adjustable material take-off allows user to change the amount of bit material that can be removed to further extend the life of your bits.
- User replaceable diamond sharpening wheel design for simple replacement.
- Cast aluminum point angle shuttle for added durability

- New permanent magnet motor produces consistent power, regardless of speed or load.
- Sharpens High-speed Steel, Carbide, Cobalt, TiN-coated and Masonry bits
- Can sharpen 3/32” – 1/2” reverse-twist (left-hand) drill bits with optional accessory
- Custom Point angle sharpening - choose any angle from 115 degree to 140 degrees
